EWTN Hotbird has changed frequency to 12149 V 27500 3/4
This only affects Hotbird viewers. Those on a Sky dish are not affected.

Has there been another change recently in signalling, freq, etc of any kind, regarding EWTN on Hotbird? It was broadcasting fine on 7th May 2025 (The Conclave for the election of the Pope Leo XIV started), but by the 10th May 2025, EWTN along with other Christian channels returned “No Signal”. The the other channels (from what I have checked) seem to be OK.
The channel entries were are still there but with signal strength of 0. Once I auto re-tuned of all the Christian channels and EWTN disappeared all together. I tried manual re-tuning, but still couldn’t get it back.
The satillite receiver I am using is built-in to a Panasonic LCD TV that’s over 15 years old. A friend mentioned that he was able to get EWTN and other Christian channels back by upgrading to the latest set top box. He said there might be a parameter on the older sat receivers that can’t be adjusted to allow for any new changes made to the broadcast settings and that new set top boxes do allow for this. Haven’t had EWTN for weeks now.
Your thoughts? Any help welcome.
